Wasabi Powder
Wasabi powder has a sharp hot flavour, that is traditionally used in Asian dishes such as sushi. It is a good alternative to chilli because it also has heat, but this heat dissipates quickly. It can be added to home-made mustards, and it works well in creamy potato dishes.
Mix equal parts of wasabi powder and warm water to make wasabi paste.
Ingredients: Ground wild Japanese horseradish, mustard.
