Fructose
Fructose is a simple crystalline sugar (monosaccharide) derived from fruit and vegetable sources. Fructose has a low glycemic index (GI) of 23. Fructose may be a healthier option than sucrose (table sugar), which has a GI of 65, because it won't raise blood sugar levels as much.
