simple ingredient: raw Sesame Seeds
This seed butter has a nutty, slightly bitter taste, which is an integral part of the healthy dip, hummus. The main ingredients
in hummus are chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, and salt.
Add
Tahini to dips, dressings, soups, or spread onto bread in place of butter.
Note the taste difference though.
Sesame seeds are rich in
iron, magnesium and calcium. These minerals are lacking in the
average commercially dependant diet. But they play a vital part in
bone and neuromuscular health, and enzyme functionality. Iron is a
component of red blood cells which oxygenate every cell in the body.
