Cholest-Away™ contains Red Yeast Rice which lowers cholesterol by blocking the cholesterol synthesising enzyme in the liver, known as HMG-Coenzyme A. Red Yeast Rice also lowers LDL ("bad") cholesterol, increases HDL ("good") cholesterol, and lowers levels of unhealthy fats called triglycerides.
COMPOSITION
Each daily dose (2 capsules) contains:
Red Yeast Rice standardised extract 300mg
Inactive ingredients: Hypromellose (cellulose) vegetarian capsule shell (gelatin free), microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate (vegetarian - flow agent), magnesium silicate, silicon dioxide and colloidal silicon dioxide.
Contains no colourants, preservatives, lactose, gluten, yeast, starch or artificial fillers.Contains plant extracts and natural fillers, with no colourants added - therefore the colour of the capsule contents may vary slightly from batch to batch.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Adults: Take 1 capsule twice daily with meals. This dose can be doubled to 2 capsules twice daily on the advice of your doctor. Some people who do not adequately suppress excess cholesterol with conventional medicines may choose to add Cholest-Away™, to achieve better cholesterol control.

PRECAUTIONS, SIDE-EFFECTS & INTERACTIONS
Side-effects can include gastro-intestinal discomfort and raised liver enzymes. Red Yeast Rice can reduce levels of co-enzyme Q10. Therefore it is strongly recommended that persons using Cholest-Away™ also supplement with 100mg of co-enzyme Q10 per day. Do not take Cholest-Away™ with Grapefruit juice or use in conjunction with high-dose Nicotinic Acid (Niacin). May interact with thyroid medication. If you are currently taking cholesterol-lowering medicine, you should notify your doctor if you plan to use Red Yeast Rice instead of, or in addition to these medicines. Unsafe for use during pregnancy and breast-feeding. Not for use in persons under the age of 18. Store in a cool dry place, out of the reach of children. Do not exceed recommended dosages unless on the advice of a healthcare provider. Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. If you are on any medication or suffering from any medical condition, it is advisable to seek medical advice before start taking any new medicine, supplement or remedy.
