What is Sucralose, gluco-mannitol and gluco-sorbitol? Sucralose an intense sweetener made from sugar, unlike other sweeteners which are made from non-sugar artificial synthetic precursors. Sucralose is 600 times sweeter than Sugar and provides no calories. Sucralose is not well absorbed by the body, and the little that is absorbed is excreted in the urine unchanged. It is heat stable in cooking, tastes like sugar and has no after-taste. Gluco-mannitol and gluco-sorbitol are natural sugar alcohols, also made from sugar. They are only partially absorbed which contributes to their health (probiotic effects and low GI). This along with their heat stability make gluco-mannitol and gluco-sorbitol an ideal base for sucralose. Contains no aspartame, saccharin, cyclamates or high glycaemic carbohydrate fillers such as dextrose or maltodextrin.
Directions for use: Use half to one scoop as required, instead of sugar, to sweeten beverages, cereals or for baking. Each half a scoop (300mg) has the equivalent sweetness to one teaspoon of sugar.
