Hippophae Rhamnoides (Seabuckthorn) Fruit Oil
This green coastal shrub produces coral-red edible berries which are made up of juice from the fruit and oil from the seed, both of which are rich in unsaturated fatty acids, carotenoids (provitamin A) and Vitamin E. Extracts of both the fruit and oil have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and offer protection against UV radiation and free-radical damage to the skin. The seeds of the seabuckthorn berries produce the beneficial golden-red oil, additionally rich in unsaturated essential fatty acids, including Linoleic and Linolenic Acids. Its combination of vitamin E and provitamin A binds free radicals and protects the skin against the influences of sun, dry air and wind. The oil aids regeneration of the skin.
