Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax
Candelilla wax is obtained from a shrub-like member of the spurge family, Euphorbia, native to Mexico. A protective layer of the wax covers the plant. And in the same way as it protects the plant, this wax protects the skin against moisture loss and makes it soft and supple. Candelilla is a relatively 'hard' wax, which can firm up other waxes and improve the consistency and texture of lipsticks and creams.
