Sucrose Free Carob, Fruit & Nut Bars
These delicious bars are formulated especially with the diabetic in mind. Fructose and carob are substituted for cane sugar and chocolate. The health aspect of fructose (fruit sugar) is that it is absorbed at a much slower rate than cane sugar (sucrose) into the blood stream therefore allows the body to cope better with a consistent sugar level. Carob has been considered a valuable source of nourishment since biblical time. It contains 46% natural sugar, less than 1% fat, is rich in minerals, vitamins B1, B2 and niacin.
Carob is free of caffeine and the thoebromine and this causes none of the allergies associated with cocoa.
