White Meali Meal
Probably the humblest of all breakfast cereals, mealie meal, also known as corn meal, maize meal, grits or polenta, is nevertheless a reasonably balanced, nutritious way of giving your day a kick-start.
You can be confident that it is a low-fat, zero-cholesterol meal.
PREPARATION: Bring 3 cups water to boil. Stir in 1 cup and 1 tsp salt.
METHOD 1: (recommended) pour mixture into glass dish and bake at 160 Deg. Celsius of 1 hour. Stir once after 15 minutes.
METHOD 2 : Simmer on low heat of 1 hour. Serve together with honey and (soy) milk and your favoured selection of nuts, seeds, raisins etcetera.
