Spirulina can be used as a dietary or wholefood supplement. It contains 60% of protein.
Spirulina is also a rich scource of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), linoleic acid (LA), stearidonic acid (SDA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and arachidonic acid (AA).
Spirulina contains vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, B9, vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin A and vitamin E.
It is also a source of potassium, calcium, chromium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, selenium, sodium and zinc.
As you can now see, it is an excellent scource of essential vitamins and minerals.
